Privacy and data
By the end of this page you will know exactly what TrazoForms stores, how uploaded files are protected, how personal data requests are handled, and what deleting the plugin does and does not remove.
What is stored
Section titled “What is stored”- The submitted fields, the date, and the status of each entry (read, starred, spam, trash).
- Uploaded files, stored privately (see below).
- The IP address and the page the visitor came from are not stored.
Everything stays in your own WordPress database. TrazoForms does not send your forms’ data to third parties, does not set cookies and does not track visitors. Emails are sent through WordPress, using whatever email service your site is configured to use.
The optional Freemius connection
Section titled “The optional Freemius connection”TrazoForms includes the Freemius SDK, which shows an optional screen offering to connect your site with Freemius for updates, licensing and usage data. You can skip it, and the plugin works the same.
If you accept, Freemius receives your site’s address, your WordPress and PHP versions, the plugin version, and the name and email of your WordPress user. This is the only external connection. Freemius’ privacy policy describes how it handles that data.
Uploaded files are private
Section titled “Uploaded files are private”Uploaded files are kept in their own folder, closed to direct access, with a name that is impossible to guess — never in your site’s regular, public uploads folder. Only a logged-in administrator can download one, from the entry itself or from a CSV/Excel export’s link. A file forwarded by email or shown in an export only ever exposes its name, never a direct address anyone could open.
Personal data requests
Section titled “Personal data requests”TrazoForms is integrated with the WordPress privacy tools, so you handle requests in the same place as the rest of your site:
- Tools → Export Personal Data includes the person’s entries, across every form on the site, with each answer shown in readable text (for example, a consent checkbox shows “Yes” or “No”, not a raw value).
- Tools → Erase Personal Data permanently deletes the person’s entries — not to the trash — together with their notes and the files they uploaded.
The person is identified by an exact match of their email address in an email field: TrazoForms looks for it across every form.
Uploaded files are deleted whenever their entry is deleted permanently: when you erase personal data, empty the trash, or delete a form.
Deactivating and deleting the plugin
Section titled “Deactivating and deleting the plugin”- Deactivating TrazoForms never deletes anything.
- Deleting it from the Plugins screen keeps your forms and entries by default, in case you reinstall.
To remove everything, go to TrazoForms → Settings, check Delete all data on uninstall, save, and then delete the plugin. That removes all forms, entries, notes and the files visitors uploaded. This cannot be undone.
Next step
Section titled “Next step”Continue to Settings for the plugin-wide options, including this one.
